ফ্ল্যাপে লিখা কথা তারেক মাসুদ(১৯৫৬-২০১১) বাংলাদেশের নেতৃস্থানীয় স্বাধীন চলচ্চিত্রকার। ২০১১ সালের ১৩ আগস্ট এক সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় তাঁর মর্মান্তিক অকালমৃত্যুর পর ঢাকায় এক স্মরণসভার আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে তারেক মাসুদকে নিয়ে স্মৃতিচারণা করেন তাঁর আÍীয়স্বজন, বন্ধুবান্ধব, শুভাকাক্সক্ষী ও সহকর্মীরা। তাঁদের প্রত্যেকের স্মৃতিচারণায় উঠে এসেছে এই অকালপ্রয়াত চলচ্চিত্রকারের জীবনের বহু অজানা দিক। সেই স্মৃতিচারণাসিক্ত বক্তৃতামালার সমাহার এ গ্রন্থ, যার পাঠে জীবন্ত হয়ে উঠবেন তারেক মাসুদ। যাঁরা তাঁর গুণগ্রাহী, যাঁরা তাঁকে ভালোবাসেন, এ গ্রন্থ তাঁদের প্রত্যেকের প্রিয় সঙ্গী হয়ে উঠবে। Tareque Masud(1956-2011) was a leading independent filmmaker of Bangladesh. After his untimely death in a tragic road accident on August 13, 2011, a memorial service was held in Dhaka, where through the reminiscences of his family, friends and colleagues, the entire are of his remarkable life was traced. This book is based on that service, and has been compiled in order that the life and dreams of Tareque Masud will continue to inspire those who admires and loves him.
